Guard in the Source of the Neva

August 10 and 11, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Oreshek fortress (Shlisselburg, Orekhovy island), the traditional historical festival “Guard in the Source of the Neva” will be held. The guests of the holiday will see the reconstruction of three historical battles. Some participants of military history clubs will recreate the heroic events associated with the siege of the fortress in the XVI, XVII and XVIII centuries. There will be an opportunity for guests to take part in battles. Furthermore numerous crafts workshops will be available: blacksmithing, potters, belt weaving, wood painting and etc. Also, a medieval fair will work for guests of the festival, performances and musical concerts will be there to entertain guests of the festival.
